Rowley Ave and Shirley Intermediate Graduations

In 2003 Rowley Ave was the first school to participate in the Computers in Homes programme in the South Island, with 20 families graduating.  This term four  Computers in Homes classes were running at Rowley Ave, training 28 participants so it has been a great pleasure to reconnect with the community. On 10 December  2012 they graduated. Members of our CiH Steering Group, Geoff Siave ( current Principal at Shirley Intermediate - ex Rowley) and  Kose Seinafo (Mininstry of Education);  Member of Parliament, Megan Woods; City Councillor Jimmy Chen; Rowley's Acting Principal Barbara Martindale; Rowley's new Principal James Griggs and our two wonderful CiH trainers Karen Shepherd and Joe Davidson were all there to celebrate this wonderful occasion with the Rowley community.

A more intimate graduation was held at Shirley Intermediate for the thirteen graduates who have been training hard all term with Joe and Karen.  Geoff Siave (Principal) and  Karaitiana Taiuru (Maori Internet Society), who are also both on the Christchurch Computers in Homes Steering Committee, led the ceremony.
